I was in a huge mall in New Jersey recently. I became fascinated with the abundant furniture in the aisles. It caught the light in wonderful ways. So I photographed a bunch of it. This chair, with it’s distinctive butt imprint, was one of the better ones.
GREAT CHAIR!

Not something I would really want in my house, but an interesting record of heavy use by a random sampling of humanity, probably mostly bored men playing with their cell phones. Is that comment sexist? Probably, but I bet it’s also true.

I think most people have at least some emotional bond to their furniture. But that bond doesn’t exist with mall furniture. It’s just there for convenience.
