Artist JR’s Latest Large-Scale Installation on the U.S.-Mexico Border

French artist JR has just installed his first work in Mexico, on the Mexican side of the U.S.-Mexico border in Tecate. The nearly 70-ft tall image is of a 1-year old name Kikito, who lives in Tecate. The installation comes in the same week Trump orders to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, the program protecting young undocumented immigrants from deportation.

The artwork will be visible from the U.S. side of the Tecate border for a month. Have a look at more images and video of its construction below.
